Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super - Benchmarks and OverclockingTo test the RTX 2060 Super I strapped it to the IGN test bench, which was handmade and features a Core i7-7700K CPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, an Asus Prime Z270 motherboard, SanDisk SSD, and EVGA PSU. Nvidia says these GPUs will be available on July 9th. I wish more GPU companies would adopt this approach, including Nvidia for its other GPUs as this is the only one with the connector in that spot.Īs i wrote previously, the bump in specs accompanies a bump in price, with the RTX 2060 Super going for $399, which is $50 more than the RTX 2060. The 2060 Super also has its power connector on the back of the card to keep the wiring clean when installed. The available video ports are exactly the same as the previous GPU, and there's everything here a gamer could want: two DisplayPort, USB Type-C, DVI-DL, and HDMI. The glowing "GeForce RTX" logo on the side is also appreciated, though, it sure would be nice to have it glow another color besides green. Nvidia really upped its game when it comes to reference designs with Turing, and overall I like the premium look and feel of its GPUs, even though not much has changed on the Super variants. Overall, the design of the new GPUs is certainly just as premium as it was before, and it's a stark contrast to the plastic shrouds shown off by AMD at its E3 event. The back of the card looks the same as before, with an aluminum shroud and the new Super badge on it. ![]() Those are the big changes, and all this adds up to an extra 15w of TDP, but the card still uses a single eight-pin PCIe connector, so it's not like you need to upgrade your PSU or anything.ĭanielle AbrahamAesthetically, the only change is the middle portion of the card is now covered in a shiny metal, which is honestly a disappointment since it's the side of the card that is usually upside down when installed, but it will look seriously cool in a case with a video card mount by the case window. Otherwise, it now has 13-percent more CUDA cores, additional RT cores for ray tracing, and a wider memory bus, allowing for a 33-percent increase in total memory bandwidth. Plus, a lot of people didn't think an upper-end card like the RTX 2060 had enough memory to begin with, so Nvidia has corrected that discrepancy. This is good news for folks who want to run games at higher resolutions with max settings, as the extra video memory allows you to flip on more graphics settings. Let's take a peek at the spec chart: Easily the biggest change is the 2060 Super now has 8GB of GDDR6 memory, as opposed to 6GB on the previous card. Nvidia claims it's now faster than a GTX 1080 from the Pascal era. It really is an entirely new GPU, and not a mild spec bump by any means. Compared to the vanilla RTX 2060, this Super edition has more CUDA cores, more memory, more RT cores, one more Gigaray of ray tracing performance, and a wider memory bus as well. Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super - Design and FeaturesThe original rumor for the Super cards suggested that Nvidia would simply bump up memory speeds and slap a Super sticker on each GPU, but Nvidia has done much more than that and has effectively bumped each GPU up a rung in the stack, so the 2060 Super is equivalent to the OG Nvidia RTX 2070 now. Anyhoo, the Super cards feature a lot of improvements, so let's get into it. The company is also offering copies of Control and Wolfenstein: Youngblood for a limited time to people who buy a Super GPU, starting on July 9th. Also note that there will be 2060 Super cards from Nvidia's partners as well as this one, made by Nvidia. That review will be coming soon though, so stay tuned. This particular GPU will be going up against the Radeon RX 5700, which is priced at $379 and has very similar specs, though it's built on AMD's all-new RDNA architecture so nobody knows how it will perform just yet. To make it Super Nvidia revamped almost everything on this GPU, which has resulted in a $50 price bump, though the original RTX 2060 will continue to be sold for a $350 MSRP, with the Super version going for $400. "I had to meet Rajkummar and because I met him, he became an enabler and because of him, I could make this film." Initially, Hansal was thinking of casting Riz Ahmed, a British actor of Pakistani descent, as the lead actor for Omerta. He credits Rao being a reason Omerta was made. He started developing the script but made Shahid (2012) with Rajkummar Rao instead, as he felt the latter was an "easier film to make". So he had to buy books, material from the archives and magazines for the research. Mehta said that at the time when Dev told him the story, the internet was "really slow". I love the deck building (your deck is 50% ‘good’/ free peoples and 50% ‘evil’/shadow), I love the mechanics (the cost of your ‘good’ cards dictates the resources your opponent has to play their ‘evil’ cards), I love the theme and feel of the game. LOTRTCG is still my favourite trading card game and it was one of the card games I made sure to play as part of my 52 in 2018. I’ve seen it happen before with other games and I’m excited about things to come. Other Decipher games have had established player-run committees for a while which are continuing the legacy of their respective games, and while LOTR has only recently seen movement in this area it’s great to be a part of a community which is on the brink of a resurgence.
